close to the edge, and it's about a thirty foot drop off the roof of
this temple. But it's a great view from up here. Do you see the large
building with the columns, thats the Roman Birthhouse, They thought
that was where the goddess Hathor gave birth to her son. It was the last birthhouse built in
Egypt. The ruins in front of it is a birthhouse from the 30th Dynasty
it was built about 300 years earlier. You can tell we are not the
first people to have enjoyed the view from this roof, do you see the
graffiti at our feet, someone was here in 1817.
