. . . . Wow... This burial chamber is big enough to play a game of full court basketball. It's a huge pillared chamber with a vaulted ceiling. At one time the ceiling was beautifully painted with the constellations of the night sky. In the center of the chamber stands the pink granite sarcophagus of the Pharaoh Merenptah. It is carved in the shape of a cartouche with the image of the dead king lying with his arms crossed holding the flail and crook.
